ADASS<\/b> is the <\/span>Association of Directors of Adult Social Services<\/b> in England.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n

We are a membership charity, a leading, independent voice of adult social care.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

We promote higher standards of social care services and influence policies and decision-makers to transform the lives of people needing and providing care – so that all of us needing care and support can live the lives we want regardless of age, disability, status, and social background.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

The membership is drawn from serving <\/span>Directors of Adult Social Services (DASS)<\/b> employed by Local Authorities, and their direct reports. In 2019, our wider membership was expanded to include <\/span>Principal Social Workers (PSW)<\/b> representing leaders of social services practice.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Associate Members<\/b> are past members of ADASS who are still involved in social care matters, either directly or through non-Executive roles in Health, Housing, Social Care or other aspects of the Voluntary Sector, and an invaluable source of expertise and knowledge of social care services.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
