Attend a Community Conversation for Richland County

Attend a Community Conversation for Richland County

We want to know what you think!  The PLAN TOGETHER public kickoff Community Conversations for Richland County will be held the week of April 7. These workshops are designed for citizens to contribute to the planning process in a casual small-group setting. Each Community Conversation will offer the chance to learn from others in the community while sharing ideas about future growth in Richland County. Public input from these Community Conversations will inform both Richland County’s and the City of Columbia’s plans.

Each Kickoff Community Conversation will have the same format, so attend the session most convenient to you.

Questions you may have about the Community Conversations

1. Who should participate? All citizens of Richland County, whether they live in a municipality or an unincorporated area, are invited to participate in the PLAN TOGETHER process.

2. Can I participate in more than one Community Conversation? There will be three sets of Community Conversations throughout the county at different stages in the planning process, so plan on attending one at each stage. Locations for Community Conversations will be set throughout the County to better facilitate your attendance.  The sessions in April will each have similar format and agenda so attend the one most convenient to you.

3. How do I determine if I live in the City or County? Look at your recycle bin to determine where you live:

  • Unincorporated Richland County: your recycle bin is red or green
  • City of Columbia: your recycle bin is blue.

4. Who can I contact with questions?
